I know that the last post in this thread is from about a year ago, but since I have basicly the same questions as they do, it seemed like a good idea to bump this thread instead of making a parallel new one.

Has their been any progress in merging the pligg news system with Joomla as a component rather then as a hack ?

Did some reading before asking this :
Pligg forum posts
Joomla
Joomlastarsl (not accessible)
Joomla Vote Mambot

From other sites
Bruxello mod
Digg It! customizable module
Joomla CMS news (<== that's what I'ld like to have too, awaiting reply)

And why don't they add these pligg related downloads to the pligg downloads ?

Well people, your prayers have been answered!
Checkout my blog and download JPligger (JPligger - Joomla & Pligg Integration Mambot | vaked.com) that will server the purpose. Please follow the instructions before throwing tomatoes and potatoes at me.

Enjoy!

Thanks It took me some time but I manage to make it work.

Anyone else interested to use it I must say what you have to make some corrections in the mambot code where it redirects to your site and to your pligg folder and use this is the joomla template:

Code:
<?php $_MAMBOTS->trigger( 'onAfterStart' ); ?>

Which file do I need to enter the following code in ?
HTML Code:
<?php $_MAMBOTS->trigger( 'onAfterStart' ); ?>
Also, could you please tell me what corrections need to be made in the mambot code and in which files ?

Any new updates on Joomla 1.5.2 and Pligg 9.9

I installed mambot but gives an output Unauthorized access to all the links.
I had to remove it manually .

Hi there!... inetmagus mentioned in that was able to get jpligger to work and there's some changes needed.... anyone that can point out those changes?....

I followed the developer instructions but when i login to joomla and access pligg from a wrapper, it shows that i havent logged in to pligg...

And then when i click on submit new story, im getting a "please log in or register" message... (according to the instructions to hide pligg registration), but im already logged in. :S

I will appreciate a lot any help!... thanks in advance!...

Claudia
