Same here, it kept loading and lording.. Eventually I got a blank screen and sent our 6 e-mails to each member!
I blamed it on the server as well!

Humm... What sounds like is happening is that when it starts the email process the time it takes to send out the batches of mail since you both have a lot of users it's taking longer than expected and the browser times out and attempts to reconnect, and starts the process over again.
It's probably something that most admins wouldn't notice unless they too had a lot of users. It will also make it a bit difficult to troubleshoot.

This will be hard to troubleshoot! I'm hoping it doesn’t happen all the time! This is the first instance I have seen and I'm currently sitting at 2000++ members!
I wish I had more info but I just don’t! The only thing I know for certain is it’s the first time it happened.
I must have gotten 50 e-mails telling me I sent 6 copies LOL
The reason I blamed it on the server was because I never had it happen before.
Your theory does sound convincing
Also I’m running 9.8.2

Well ok then, I won't waist my time looking into it. I didn't design the module anyway.

I don't even know where you would start!
The reason I said that quote Chuck was because I don't even know what else I could tell you to help trouble shoot!
It's seriously over my head!

The first question then, if you don't mind me asking - if you've never had a problem before - is what changes to your website have you made since the last time you sent out a mass email?

Sure you can ask!
ummmm nothing

has this issue been resolved?
If not, a way you can solve it, is in the admin area, have an extra box that allows you to enter a number, which is for how many emails should get sent out in each batch.. and another box under that where another number gets into which is used for the time delay in seconds.
So if
100 was entered into the first box. and 120 was entered in the second box. 100 emails will go out, pause for 120 seconds, then send out another 100 emails until it reaches the last email. Plus you'll find that more emails will get sent out as well.
speaking of sending out emails, is there any custom key tokens, ie, {usernmae} {firstname} etc that replaces these with their username's name or first name of the person signing up?
