No verification to this story as yet. Supposedly Digg has been trying to find a buyer since November and is trying to sell for $300 million USD. How do you guys feel about this? Is the price just? Would it encourage further Digg.com development? How might it effect your own Pligg site?

I was wondering what would be the real value of DIGG? since most of its users don't click on ads and are very "ad blind" ..$300 million but me multiple times the real revenue of the site.

i dont think they will be sold until they reveal the real revenues. And the buyer should be able to accept digg as it is now - the users have more control on digg - which any buyer have to think twice (digg revolts )

A big business problem with sites like Digg is that they don't have much of a revenue stream...

So no, it's not worth $300m, or anywhere near it.

But, judging by other high profile sales, they may receive something close to it.

This would be a better buy for an outlet looking to expand their reach and audience, not someone looking for a solid revenue stream.
