If you search the forum for Module Error #1 you will find that the error is caused by having conflicting modules that do not work with the re-captcha module. Turn off mail new users, and instant message new users.

| Is it my install, or the default provided recaptcha modules that comes with the 9.9.5 beta is applied or for the user registration process? Tried to enable it but it only shows on registration, not on submit story.

It's not supposed to show on "submit a story". Registration captcha only works on registration. |

| If you would re-read his post, he was asking for help with story submission captcha. `Not quite a big fan of people that haven't taken the time to read the question.` as you would say it.

Ok chuck, looks like you were so involved in helping me on the my other thread that you lost track. So here it goes: Post #29 Quote:

I didn't loose track at all. I was just telling you guys that there is no captcha on story submissions or comments because it's already taken care of the the registration. For someone who just registered today you sure have made a lot of negative comments already. I'm beginning to be sorry I even tried to help. |

Anyway, back to the topic, what I was trying to say is that: 1) the guy asked for help with story submission recaptcha, not registration. Not sure what's so negative about. 2) if you take care of registration using a captcha, you cannot rest assured your Pligg will be spam free - malicious users can still signup manually which take a couple of seconds, then run an automation script based on that login data. So I guess that is why most of us are interested in both registration and submission captchas, or at least I do. |

In the latest SVN we have an anonymous submit module that requires anonymous users to enter a captcha code when submitting a story. Perhaps this module will lead you into the right direction of an easy solution.
The Twitter Module for Pligg CMS! Register, Login, and Submit Stories with Twitter. An absolute MUST HAVE for all Pligg sites! |
