Many of you might already know that we have decided to no longer advertise DreamHost's services on the Pligg Forum through banners because of yesterdays blunder. I blogged about it yesterday and have had a couple comments in support of DreamHost, without a decent explanation of why. So I was wondering if anyone else would like to raise an issue for or against DreamHost and their services. Please give us some details about past experiences so that we can best understand what went right or wrong. Also, vote on the poll to give us a quick idea of how you feel about their service.

I don't understand your decision, and think its stupid.

I am a very satisfied DreamHost customer, and i have experience with many other webhost before them.

I really don't get it. I love them for being so transparent, and for giving their customer all the information about what happen, and also for very quickly paying back the money.

To me it seems you guys don't want honesty, because that is what DreamHost gives us.

I really don't have time to debate it any more, do as you please, i have to work. But it is disappointing of you.

We replace the DH word with our own link so that we can pay for our site and help fund the Pligg project. It also prevents others from sticking in their own referral codes.

Please use TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a Tiny URL if you have a link using the word DreamHost.

Yes, I have one of my accounts with them, and so far, whenever I had to ask for some technical things (twice maybe), they responded quickly, nicely and clearly explaining everything.

I think what everyone is forgetting is that some Pliggers may have been seriously damaged by this. Some people were overcharged as much as $190.00 putting them over the limit on their CC incurring fees and damaging their credit score. I personally don't feel comfortable promoting a service which could cause permanent damage to someones credit.

Also some Pliggers flat out canceled their account which made Pligg lose the referral. So in reality DreamHost not only hurt individual people with their mistake, they also hurt Pligg financially. Business rule #1 is don't do business with a company that hurts your own business.
