I think this is already implemented in 1.0.4 since I downloaded the file linked in the first post (karma2.php) and compared it to the current karma.php and they are the same. The only differences are a few lines at the end, 3 to be exact. Those lines are for creating the file to be included in the sidebar, so if this is what you want, just add those lines to your current karma.php and them follow the instructions in this thread to learn how to include the file.
