We send out a mass forum email whenever there is an important security release. We also send out an occasional newsletter to update everyone on the project status.

how about decent bug (or feature) tracking software for pligg? is that available?

it is much easier to see there whether a bug was accepted for correction (and by whom), see the status of the (implemented) features, etc

How about offering a pay per help option. Something like at Experts-Exchange.com or even one of the 'answers' type sites.

I post a problem and a reward to the solve it, then the best answer gets paid whatever reward I offered. Pligg itself could even take a cut off the top as a way to generate revenue.

I know right now I've got 3 issues I'd be willing to pay $20 each to get resolved but there are no answers in the forum for these.

I would definitely like paid support. I've been trying to hunt down bug fixes in the forum for weeks. Time is money.
