Hey guys... I am developing a pligg site for someone and he wants to sell "votes" (in lots of 250) as a form of advertising. Is there a way to inflate the vote count manually? I know it can be done via the rss importer, but how would one do it manually or perhaps automated?
I know I can inflate a link from phpmyadmin manually by changing the vote count in the links table, however, the problem is that I also need to add misc info into the votes table in order for it to work properly; such as create anonymous votes, ips and linking the votes to the correct id numbers. That's not bad for just one vote, but doing it 250 time is out the question.
Does anyone have a suggestion towards inflating the vote count for a listing? I tried to hack apart the rss import code and find the function that injects the vote count into the mysql database, but I have no idea where that would be. Any insight into this would be appreciated.
