I implemented this fix to solve my database woes and it seems to work just fine... However, I noticed that I'm consistently getting the following:

Whether that's merely coincidence... something to do with another site on my server that seems to have been hacked or down to the code, I do not know.

Actually, it seems that the error message is being caused by a problem that has nothing to do with me - which makes a change.

So, I've only good things to say about the removal of the pageview function - it has shrunk my database massively and things seem to be much calmer now. I'm looking forward to an official implementation in Pligg 1.0 - actually, I'm just plain looking forward to Pligg 1.0... Thanks to everyone that contributed code here.

Mixguy, there is instance of pageviews and in story.php. Commented them too to work

First go at you hosting panel backup the db and go to phpmyadmin and select the _pageviews table and drop the table,i test it at my site i remove 94 mb pageviews from my db,this work fine,
