I have this error

Fatal error: TPL: [in line 0]: syntax error: file '.tpl' does not exist in /mysitefiles/class.template.php on line 923

and I go to that line 923 in the class.template.php file and get this

trigger_error('TPL: [in ' . $this->_file . ' line ' . $this->_linenum . "]: syntax error: $error_msg$info", $error_type);


It's freaking brilliant. Any idea what my error is from? I change my templates in the database because I thought it might be that but it still does it in the yget template.

Please if you've run across this please let me know.

Have you found any solutions to this problem? I also ran into this problem after adding a page in the back end to manage my merchants.

delete all in templates_c and if you banned a member or IP check that file, make sure you don't have a space

My templates_c folder is empty and i haven't banned anyone.

I've just installed Pligg and am getting exactly the same error:

I've also deleted all in templates_c but the error still presists.

I have no idea what's the problem.

Same here. Thou I must test the 9.9 templates. maybe it has something to do with it...

Have you tried with the standard yget template?

Yep, works pretty fine with the default one. Must be a 9.9 thing. We will have to try to figure it out or wait.

Former versions had 'yget' hardcoded instead of the template name variable. Could have been missed somewhere.

I was getting the same error.
After looking at other template files I noticed that the tpl file
sidebar_stories_wrapper.tpl was missing. I added this file from a different template and everything worked fine. I hope this helps.
