How do I direct my Pligg site to show up in a MediaTemple server?
Anyone have any experience downloading their site on Mediatemple, and getting it to direct properly...I can't get it to work.
What modifications do I have to make in the htaccess.default page, if any?
Thanks for any advice...

Without know exactly what setup, version, etc.. you are running this can be hard to debug.
However, it sounds as though you have note renamed your "htaccess.default" to ".htaccess" yet.
Give that a try and let me know how it goes.

I cleared the cache file in the Pligg folder, and I changed htaccess.default to .htaccess. I turned on the show invisibles and transfered it over to the server (MT). It now displays: Error. The pligg_config table is empty or does not exist
That's a totally new error message.
Like I said before, however, it works on my localhost server.
sigh*

Have you checked if the pligg_config table is empty or does not exist?
If it is, you may have to re-install in order to repopulate the table.
And new errors always mean progress.

I was just now checking, and in phpMyadmin pligg_config is populated. But perhaps it is something to do with MediaTemple server not communicating with the database. I'm new to MediaTemple, but I assumed that when you upload the site, it will connect with your current phpMyadmin database?
I could be dead wrong.
Thanks for your help and suggestions...

Did you create the database on Media Temple's servers using phpMyAdmin? I.e. can you do a "vanilla" Pligg install on MT with a new database?

I'm not sure. I guess I need to do another Pligg install through MT so that can populate the database. Is this a common issue with MT and Pligg?

I have populated my phpmyadmin database on MT, but how do I change the database settings in my pligg code? Where do I find that file?
Thanks

You can edit it directly in the file "/libs/dbconnect.php"

Well, the adventure continues. I edited the dbconnect.php to coordinate with the MT phpmyadmin database and I'm still getting the error:
Error. The pligg_config table is empty or does not exist
The table clearly exists. And it is not empty. So what could be the issue? At least I know the path is correct. It's just the database that's the problem...
