I just bought a template from pligg pro called newhorizon, and when I try to edit admin/god profile such as change password and so on, I got an error said "There was a token error." And I couldn't change the password for admin or anything.

Also when I sign up a test account, the register work, but when I log in with test account and try to modify profile or edit password, the same error appeared. "There was a token error." The result is nothing has changed.

What's going on? Please help me? Thanks...

Pligg version 9.9, template is from pligg pro, and latest LAMP.

I test out with convergence template -- a free template -- you can do a search on pligg forum for Convergence, and the result is that no token error when users/god modified account. The token error is only happening for Newhorizon template that I just bought few weeks back from Pligg Pro. I need help from Pligg's developer quick... Since this is your template that you had created. Thanks...

Sorry for not catching this thread earlier. If you want support for Pligg Pro orders you have to submit your issue to the Pligg Pro Helpdesk. I'm not sure if this problem is caused by the template, try switching to yget (/settemplate.php?template=yget) and seeing if it makes any difference. If not, then it's a problem with Pligg, the Pligg configuration or your server settings. I've come across it a few times myself, but never really looked into it. If you find that after switching to yget the problem goes away let me know by opening a helpdesk support ticket.

I actually did open a ticket right after a day I bought the template, but got a response as "go to the forum and ask for help, it's not the template issue but a pligg configuration issue and so on..." something of sort to that.

So I decide to put off the experimentation and move on for a week or two while posting for helps on the forum, then nothing happen.

Yesterday I got fed up and so I go pick a free template b-Ice and try it, and it works without any token error, and so I decide to try with Convergence also, and it works without any token error, and so I try with the paid template Newhorizon again, and wow, the token error popped right back in my face.

It's the problem with template, not with Pligg as far I can see. Two free template works without a hitch but paid template from Pligg Pro did not work.

To open up another help desk ticket is so troublesome, I rather have this thread going so it be in the archive and help other users to fix the problem if they ever going to encounter such like I did.

This issue is something that I assumed was always a problem with server configs not agreeing with Pligg. I looked into it today and for now it looks like if you just replace the yget version of profile_center.tpl you will get it working again. I'm updating this issue today and it will be changed for all templates by the end of today.

It looks like a problem with the templates not made for version 9.9.0.

1. Try open /templates/[your-template]/profile_center.tpl

2. Find <form action="" method="post" id="thisform">

3. If the next line NOT is {$hidden_token_profile_change}, do step 4-5 - else I don't have a clue ;-(

4. Insert this line right after: {$hidden_token_profile_change}

5. Save the file and try again.

I tried that--didn't work. I'm getting the error "There was a token error" when trying to reset the password.
