I have 20 categories and my users are requesting more. My quick fix to prevent the sidebar looking too long and ugly would be to start with the dropdown categories "up" or "closed", and then move the tag cloud higher up the sidebar. But, how do you start with the categories closed?

I've read the Scriptaculous page for Effect.toggle and I can see in the discussion that you "have to put style=”display:none” inline on the div tag", but nothing changes when I try that. This is what I have in mytemplate/sidebar_modules/categories.tpl:

Code:
<div id="cats" style="padding-bottom:1px; display:none">
But the categories are still open...

UPDATE: The above code was actually correct and it is working now. I don't know why it didn't before.
