I am looking for script/mod for pligg which would make

Only a register member can invite a new member to signup so that the network grown by people who are invited by already existing member ….

Also if it would be possible to limit invitation available to registered member… say like one registered member can only send two invitation .. etc

I am not much into programming or scripting.. thus would be great if someone can come up with such a script….. thanks

- the advantage of this is you can maintain the quality of user if you thinking about making a big site... there would be less spammers to send junk content , because there would always be one person who would knows other member thus

the idea more like orkut where it grows by allowing only already exsisting member to invite other

one stupid way to impliment this was to remove the register signup link and have a recomment a friend kinda script in member area and include the signup page url in that

this was the most stupid basic ... thing i could think of as i am not a script programmer etc but if someone can come up with more hitech script mod then it would be great

I would also like this feature. Before I rollout a new site I would like to beta test it and have some select users fill in data. This really shouldn't be high on the priority list though, because there are far more important things to be done and this only applies to a select few. I suppose it would be best to hire someone for this task.

What I did was to wrap the registration in admin tags, and then use this AJAX contact form for people to send in login information.

Until they change the registration process (email to get the password), then you will either have to do it my kludgy way, or be open targets for spammers and liars.

There is a Single Step Registration + E-Mail Activation mod from Dollars5. Perhaps this style of authentication can be modified.

Rather than someone "register", though, someone sends an "invite" which runs the e-mailing, adds a row to the users table in the database, and if the user clicks the link, you take them to an activate page which fills in the rest of their users row.
