Number of registered users

I remember in previous versions it was in defoult template - actual number of registered users (and stories, etc), but now it is just in admin side. So, how to show those statistic data to all site visitors? What is the right code?

Just activate the Sidebar Statistics module in module management.

Sidebar Statistics module requires PHP version 5, and it seems it is not working on my server. But becouse in my admin side i see the statistics, just wandering how to show the same on main page too. There should be possible, i just could not find jet... Anybody?
