Are the categories that are listed on each page cached, or are they loaded each time someone loads a page? The reason I am asking is if I had a couple hundred categories (I would be using a template where this wouldn't be an issue from a navigation or submission perspective) it might be cumbersome from a bandwidth perspective to have this load from the server every single time.
I believe that categories are cached, but don't quote me on that. If you don't display them on a page why would you need to have them cached?

Sorry - when I said "I would be using a template where this wouldn't be an issue from a navigation or submission perspective" I meant from a UI perspective - I figured when I said a couple hundred categories people would wonder how that would even be effective from a UI standpoint even though they are loading on every page. There would be a certain amount of categories and then many levels of sub-categories.
