With Simple Private Messaging enabled, most pages on my site crawl at a snail's pace, taking about 45 seconds to load. Messaging works, but it takes 180 seconds to send a message, up to 120 seconds to open a message to read. Any reason why it takes so long? The entire site is unbearable to browse if you're logged in (logged out, everything works fine). If I disaple Simple Private Messaging everything becomes quick and responsive again. How do I fix this?

UPDATE: I've tried disabling the other mods one by one thinking there might be a conflict, but that didn't make a difference.

It sounds to me like it's a configuration with my server's settings somewhere. Since I have a VPS, I have full access to change the settings, but I don't know which one it could be or if that's even the issue in the first place.

Come on people. Let's get some answers here. I'm using 9.9 on a Liquidweb VPS. When I install simple private messaging everything slows down to a crawl. What is the fix. Somebody has it.

I am having the same issue as well. I am hosted on HOSTPC and enabling simple private message totally lags the site
