I just learned that the duplicate URL warning at submit_step_1 checks only queued and published story URLs but NOT discarded ones.

If you have Admin - OutGoing - Outgoing links:title a klick on the title could lead you to the discarded story. That happened to me a few minutes before.

If this is fixed I will add 'If search is unable to find a result please contact the administrator or write an editoral with the URL at the top of the text.' to PLIGG_Visual_Submit2Errors_DupeArticleURL_Instruct of lang.conf.

To integrate discarded stories into the test, just skip AND link_status != 'discard' at the duplicate function of libs/link.php.

Furthermore, I´ve learned that the search function of the duplicate warning at submit_step_1 provides a search that is not related to the URL but to the whole domain: http://forums.pligg.com/bug-report/1...in-result.html

I just learned another side effect: If you edit the story of the non-discarded article the next screen will show you the discarded one. The display of the non-discarded will keep the old text.

Therefore I strongly recommend you to change link.php if you have the above mentioned setting
