I hope this is the right place for this. I just got email from my hosting co. Godaddy. I'm using pligg version 9.9.5. I did what they requested and things still seem to work fine.
Here's the email:
Your hosting account, ...., has been identified as having the Pligg Content Management System with the Page Statistics v 0.2 module activated in your database. Unfortunately, this plugin executes a MySQL query against the 'kewlr' database which negatively impacts your site's server performance.
We request that this issue be corrected immediately. Options include:
- If you no longer use the Pligg Content Management System, please delete the associated database from your Hosting Control Center.
- If you do not have a need for this module, please disable or delete it using the Pligg Administration Control Panel.
* Log into your Pligg site.
* Click the 'Admin' link.
* Click 'Module Management'.
* Click 'disable' next to Page Statistics v0.2
- If you need this module, please fix the issue by replacing Line 12 in /modules/page_statistics/page_statistics_main.php with:
$rows = $db->get_var("SELECT count(*) FROM ".table_pageviews." WHERE `pv_type`='story'");
Unfortunately, if this matter is not resolved by Tuesday, January 20th 2009, we will be revoking access to your database, 'kewlr', until the issue can be fixed..
Thanks again for choosing GoDaddy.com, Inc..
Just thought I'd share.
