    Exclamation Auto vote script

When a story receives two votes on my site, it's published on my site's frontpage. All upcoming stories receive one vote automatically, I use the RSS import script. To get some fresh stories on my site's frontpage I need to manually vote on a couple of stories to get something on the frontpage. I was wondering if there's a way for me to vote on a few stories automatically so I don't need to do it all manually. Via cron job, or a script, whatever Any ideas?

Well I'd prefer to keep most articles in the upcoming section, just a few of them on the frontpage every few hours. Thanks for your suggestion though! ^^

Anyone has an idea , or from where to start to implement a voting script/bot to give i.e. one vote to each story per hour(or maybe randomly) ... In that way, upcoming stories will go published, even if people dont really vote for them. and also this will save administrators time. As BillyC suggested, will not have to stay there to vote manually and also create 10 fake users to be able to vote , or maybe hack the db manually....

I think that will be cool!

In the way that you cmstheme suggest , there will never be an upcoming section at all, as all will be published instatly... Which is not cool :-)

This can be done as I had it on a site. It is Dollar5 (I think ) who is the person who can do this for you.

plafon: we had it as a cool module, but personally we dont recommend to clients as it is kinda cheating your loyal users by faking site activity. But the Bot module that we have will do a fantastic job with creating a great site activity. Contact our sales for pricing [sales (at) dollars5 (dot) com]

dollar5: yes you right that is kind of not fair for loyal users. But is a way to generate some traffic in the begining and not spend all day voting yourself . You know what I mean!

I will try and figure it out myself , as not much money is available anyway. However ty and who knows, maybe in the future you might prove useful.

    ty again...

PS you got some interesting stuff in the website!!!! good job!
