OKay - Here is the issue. When using search method #4 the search works fine, but if you click on a tag in the side bar or tag cloud the information is blank.

Before you say there maybe is nothing there for the search... Wrong - I thought of that. If you SEARCH the same tag word you get listings, but if you click on the tag link nothing.

Now if I switch and use say Search Method #2, the search works (very slow to many links and sometime times out) and the TAG words all work (sidebar and tag cloud).

The Tag problem seems to be in using the SEARCH method 4 - any Ideas, I have searched the forum and nothing applies to this. I know many don't use the Google Search method but for the clients sites it works best when they have so many indexed links.

I spoke with a few other pligg users. I know and most don't use the Google Search Method, but when they tested it for me they all had the same outcome. I noticed your tag that you are using 9.8 and I am using 9.9 yget and a 9.9 modified template (two different sites). So I guess it is a confirmed BUG

I am going to wait until tomorrow to see if an answer is posted, then I will do some playing around with the search.php files - I will let you know if I figure anything out.

Just an FYI I did start working on a work around fro this bug, but have not forcefully fixed the problem - I will keep you up to date. If any of the admin / programmers have any ideas or suggestions, to pitch in it would be greatly appreciated.

No Luck here so far - Not sure if this is allowed, But I will pay (PayPal) $25 to the person that can find me successful fix to this issue!

PM or post me when you have a fix, we will implement it and I will GLADLY pay for this annoying bug fix!

Yes we still read the forums. It's just that this is not high up on the priority list at the moment.. But I can concur this is a bug and it's reproducible.

If anyone has a moment and wants to take a crack at this, I can point them in the right direction. The problem with Search method 4 and tags is that the tags query string isn't correct.
For example lets say the tag is the word AUTOMOBILE

OK now lets say you have a story using the tag AUTOMOBILE and you click on it the search query looks like this
search.php?search=AUTOMOBILE&tag=true

Technically both query strings should be the same.
