I am hiring a Pligg developer and narrowed down to two: MoonRank and Dollars5.

Does anyone have experience in working with anyone of them? I know MoonRank designed Skirt and so forth but they cost an arm and leg.

Is there a Pligg Developer ranking or comment from previous customers? I've just read on the forum about some members having developers run on them after paying a fee so I am a little worried

Sure, I will vouch for both of them.

Moonrank has done work for Pligg LLC directly.. In fact the entire forum template, blog, and home page was designed by them.

Dollars5 has been around since the beginning and is an active developer here in the community. I've seen some of his paid work and it's fabulous.

I think either one would would be an excellent choice.

Asking a 3rd party about cost of their private development is not only unethical it's down right pointless. Obviously every job is different. Your best bet would be to directly contact the person you wish to do the work, and ask them for a quote.

I can definetely vouch for Dollars5.

Their work is great. They have done a number of modifications for me and worked with me for sometime now on Linka.co.nz and more recently Buzzdup.com, where they are currently working on updating a number of the modifications before an official release of the site. The work they provide at a good price and they also give you a time frame of when it can be done by. They keep in contact throught the project and always let you know if there are going to be delays. To see some of the work they have done for me head over to Buzzdup.com. Things they have done include, Gravity Ranking, iPhone/iPod Touch Template, AntiSpam system, 9.9.0 Validation system and more.

Seriously I cannot rate these guys high enough and best of all they don't charge a fortune.

Oddly, Moonrank didn't do the blog template. The css and template structure for the blog is original to the homepage and forum design, despite the same look. We paid another company to convert a PSD to HTML/CSS and then I converted that file into Wordpress. I've been meaning to rework it using the Moonrank design so I could share images and stylesheets with the homepage.

I can highly recommend Moonrank though, they churned out a good product for us as a favor and their finished product was close to what I was looking for so it only took a little extra time on my part to finish it off.
