Comment Rating In Pligg and Other Issues...

1. Does Pligg support comment rating ? I have looked at a bunch of pligg sites and I have not seen this feature in any of the sites I have seen so far.

2. Also can an image be uploaded alongside a posted news link. This IMO adds some variety to the main page so its not all text links.

3. And can Pligg be easily administered after install and go live, by say someone with a non programmer background.

My apologies for what may be basic questions but I am evaluating whether to use Pligg for a site I plan to launch in the immediate future and these are some of the concerns I have. BTW if I do decide to go with Pligg I will also be looking for a really good development team to do template design, customization and tweaking of the site so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Yes, comment rating is built into pligg. You probably dont see it on sites because it requires that you be logged in to rate a comment.
2. Images can now be uploaded using a new "Upload" module that I think is just about finished. It will be included with the next release, and an early testing version was included with RC2. The latest version is much more stable and works pretty well. I will provide some documentation on it when I have some time.
3. It should be pretty easy to administer a pligg site. Most actions are just 1 or 2 mouse clicks away. Assuming that the person doesn't need to do anything technical like update the site or templates it should be easy to pick up. I've used Joomla and Drupal in the past, and I think their learning curve is much higher than Pligg.

If you are looking for developers you might want to try the Pligg job board. We (the Pligg team) are also going to start accepting jobs for custom Pligg work in the near future once 1.0 final is out.
