What Are All These Numbers In My URL

I have just been playing with a sitemap generator and discovered literally hundreds of weird urls with long numbers at the end

e.g.
http://mysite.com/tag/adventure+travel/1237652395/

Now this page is exactly the same as http://mysite.com/tag/adventure+travel

On further inspection I found

http://mysite.com/tag/adventure+travel/1237653113/

which is identical to both the above urls

This is creating mountains of duplicate content!

What are they and more importantly how do I get rid of them! Because of their structure very difficult to block with robots.txt

I really need some help with this otherwise I'll have to resort to downgrading and not experimenting any more

So nobody else has these numbers at the end of their urls in 1.0???

And nobody knows what they are?

maybe they are session ids???? no???

First, the xml sitemap module has proven to be really buggy. The developer who made it didn't write a very solid module and I believe it just doesn't play well with 1.0.
Second, I have no idea what could be causing those extra URLS unless it could be one of your modules (points finger to XML sitemaps). Make sure that all of your modules are approved for 1.0. It would help if you listed what you are using, but you shoudl at least start by disabling xml sitemaps.
