Is it possible or is there a setting to make sure a signup/new registration has to verify first through a verification email his/her registration by clicking a link in the verification email?
I have only a single optin setting here and I cannot find a double optin / verification setting.
Right now it goes like:
register, submit, done.
When someone submits a false email -of someone else- and you would send a mass email out, you could be accused of spam because the owner of that email address never confirmed to receive emails; it could even happen with the automated welcomes email.
Better would be:
register > submit > verification email send to email address submitted and not yet access to pligg back office, but goes to a thank you for registration, please check your inbox page > signup locates verification email in his submited email inbox > click on verification link in this verification email > this confirms that the new signup is really the owner of the email address
New user can login from this moment on and not before.

Is there a setting and if not, why not? and is there A module / mod for it then?
