I was somewhat familiar to pligg. But well that was 2 years back. Installed a new version of pligg, the latest official version.

I am using it for a j oke sub mission site. As its not a link submission site, its more of a story submission site. So I configured:

description: Require a URL when submitting
false

description: Show the URL input box.
value: false

description: When showing the story in summary mode (like on the front page), truncate the content to this many characters.
value: 150

description: Enable outgoing links.
value: false

description: Outgoing links.
value: title

But I see that in my story page (final story page), only the summary is shown. I am using the default template (yget).


the actual story is much longer. Pls help.

was it a code change or a configuration change ?

I am trying to find out it I configured somethng wrong. I know the code fix. Dont want to make a lot of changes, merging later becomes an issue.

Check the SVN code that editlink.php was updated to fix this: SourceForge.net Repository - [pligg] Diff of /branches/9.x/editlink.php

Also if you are not able to get the summary viewed: use the fix suggested at SourceForge.net Repository - [pligg] Diff of /branches/9.x/story.php

Thanks. I just got the code yday. Do you suggest that I update to the latest code.

How old is the official beta release on the download page ?
And what is the easiest way to download the latest ?

I use Tortoise SVN and it just worked fine for me
