I just installed the latest beta of v9.9.5 and did the configuration. I tried submitting the first story and bumped into first problem.

1st Step: submit the url and click 'Continue' works fine
2nd Step: Fill the details required and click 'Preview & Submit'... in the next page, I get the following error always;

Incomplete title or text

with an option to click the back button.

I tried submitting various stories, but ended up with the same problem after step 2.

UPDATE: I just checked the 'News Management' section in admin section and found that the 3 stories i tried submitting are classified as 'discard' and these discarded stories doesn't have any title text which seems to the exact error I am getting. BUT the actual title text is entered which seems to be ignored and it's ending up throwing error as mentioned above.

Use WinMerge to compare the code for the submit pages in 9.9 to that 9.9.5. You will see the code that has changed. Sounds like the variable got dropped and isn't being passed to the db.

I can't recreate this. Demo on the Pligg.com server seems to work fine. We'll need more info to figure this one out.

I don't have this problem either, I think this is unique case to you only purplecow, can you look into error log and type the error out here so to let us know what is really going on behind the scene?

This sounds like either the title or the story text wasn't the correct minimum length.

Sorry for the false alarm. As chuckroast mentioned it was a case of min title length and description text minimum length.

Got it fixed now.
