    Rss Feeds do not work!!

"error on line 10 at column 28: xmlParseEntityRef: no name"

This is the error I get when I go to my Rss Feeds Page.

This page used to work...I do not know when it stopped working. This is way over my head. So far I compared my rss.php file to the default files and they have not been edited at all.

error can be seen here http://www.burninginfo.com/rss.php

Wow what a great resource! Thank you for the links. Do you suggest I just change or remove line 10?

I just upgraded my site to 1.0 and I messed around with the rss feeds right away and they worked. After some htaccess modification (to url method 2) and installing the xml sitemap module it broke again and gave me the same error. can anyone help? I disabled xml sitemaps module and this didnt fix the issue

"xmlParseEntityRef: no name" <-- the more i look into the code the more it starts making sense to me that the xmlsitemaps module screwed something up. With a fresh install, when I went to configure "Xml sitemaps" was not there, now that it is installed it is in configure. I disabled the module, removed the module from the server BUT when i go to configure "Xml sitemaps" are still there.

Please help!!!! I am ready to uninstall 1.0 and reinstall it!!!

We can't fix a problem unless we can duplicate it. As you said in this and other threads, you installed the sitemaps module which is known to break Pligg.

ahh wonderful! Lol thank you for the reply Yankidank. I am still messing around with the configuration so it wont be that big of a deal if I start over with a fresh install...this time without that module. Is there any xml sitemaps built into pligg 1.0 (or any alternatives to the xmlsitemaps module)?

Okay so after reinstalling it, the rss feeds broke again. I did not install xmlsitemaps module. I installed the upload module, sidebar comments, sidebar stories, antonymous mode and anonymous comment module. I edited .htaccess and changed the site to url method 2.

The best way to track down the cause is to install those modules and change the settings and keep checking if the RSS feeds work.
