Friendly URL's for stories And (error - Oops, what you're looking for isn't here!)
Hello,
I have a critical problem in the feature (Friendly URL's for stories) And (error - Oops, what you're looking for isn't here!)
Settings were as follows: Friendly URL's for stories value: false Friendly URL's for categorie value: true
And link the story as follows: http://www.test.com/ct/426
And links were working and there is no problem.
And The number of stories on the site are now more than 200 story.
The problem occurred after change the settings to the following: Friendly URL's for stories value: true Friendly URL's for categorie value: true
And link the story as follows: http://www.test.com/game/word1-word2-word3/
Of course feature (URL method) > value: 2
Details of the problem:
Now when I open a link any story, it moves to the error page (error - Oops, what you're looking for isn't here!).
And I can not open the page details of the story.
Therefore, I want to help in the work of the following steps:
1- Show details page story, and avoid the error message!! (error - Oops, what you're looking for isn't here!).
2- Remove the last slash in the link ,I mean that the link is as follows: http://www.test.com/game/word1-word2-word3
I hope that I find it helps me because I am in a critical position, and I can not stop and there are visitors to the site.
The only thing that stands out from what you've posted that might be the problem is that you didn't edit your .htaccess as instructed in the category management section.
It will say something like " if you are using url method 2 you need to copy the following lines to your .htaccess file."
I have changed (Friendly URL's for categories) as follows:
description: / category / (categoryname) / value: false
And It's became the link as follows: http://test.com/story/title/word1-word2-word3
It works and I can see the page details of the story.
2 SEO Method. Example: /story/example-title/ method.
Note: You must rename htaccess.default to .htaccessAND add code found at the bottom of the Admin > Manage > Categories page to the .htaccess file
