Now that Google, Yahoo and Microsoft have all agreed to support sitemaps ( http://www.sitemaps.org/ ) , it would be nice if pligg automatically generated the sitemaps file for the content on the site. This would definitely help with better search engine indexing and placement.

I tried to insert Youtube code with extra fields. Also I made the same for images and mp3 music files. How user types only URL of photo (not <img src....!!!) or URL of music file. When user submit new article he sees extra fields: Youtube code (optional) Your image URL (optional) Your MP3 file URL (optional) You can see result here: http://www.news2.by/story.php?id=1420 Sorry, in Russian language Last edited by mobilpress; 03-19-2007 at 07:34 AM. |

make the addition and formatting of extra fields available in configuration. I'd also like the ability to make them required.

I second all of lippstuh's suggestions. "1. Photo ID option for each post 2. Other Related topics link 3. Category can have option to make parent category (not postable) 4. Collapsable Category tree 5. Make tags preset. So user can just select them." |

Hello, this is gonna sound crazy, but. I want to set up a website based on pligg that can do the following: It would be a (writers fight club) submitters would have various categories based on boxing categories light weight, (coupla paragraphs), middle weight (short stories) and heavy weight (longer short stories). the premise is for a month people can submits stories that are voted up and down, the final winners in each category would have said story automatically added to a section of the site where it would be permanently displayed on the site (based on class) can pligg do this? |

I don't know if this has been suggested yet or not, but I have had a few ideas that would require category locking, keeping users from submitting articles within a particular category. Only God user and rss feeds would be allowed in such categories. I would love this feature, and would even be happy to write it if you agree with it.

jstayii, if you are interested in coding up a feature where users could only submit stories in sub categories and not parent categories that would be awesome.
