Hi all,

I am new to Pligg and I am curious about how Voting System work? Does it checks the system IP/MAC address? How does it know that the vote is comming from unique PC. Is it possible for single PC to vote twice?

Thank you for your help.
Sam

Chuckrost,

Thank you and I really appreciate your reply.

I understand by the username but how does IP Address work, because multiple users can have same IP address (Example: In a corporate environment where users have private ip in the network.). Wouldn't that be a problem? How does is differentiate between those PCs.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Sam

Thank you chuckroast again.

I am planning to let users vote without logging in (so No username). So basically IP and cookies are the only method to uniquely identify? right?

Thanks,
Sam
