I came across an article written by yankidank about how to install Pligg. Actually, i followed the proceedure, but i say some i don't understand.
"CHMOD 755, if them give you error them try 777" and "CHMOD 666 the following".
Please, what does CHMOD mean and how can i do that on local server and on Cpanel

I have the same issue, I am using xampp on Ubuntu. phpinfo says it's 5.1, while troubleshotter says it s 3.2.7 :-)

    ha, fixed...

I downgrade the MySQL from 5.1.37 to 5.1.0, and it works now.

Apparently the 1.0.1 has some compatible issue with MySQL 5.1.36 or 5.1.37.

perhaps the system detected the version number of 3.2.27 from "$Revision: 1.3.2.27" by mistake.

I am having a big problem. I am about spend $100's to get my site up and I can't even get it to come up in WAMP. I am having the exact same problem as everyone else here:

I can't get into the ADMIN Config page.

Trooubleshooter shows I am running MySQL version 3.2.27, no matter what version of MySQL I've tried loading onto my server.

Frankly, I'm at a loss for words. I have researched several products and I finally settled on Pligg because of the ease of use and ability to setup the website the way I want. I am looking to expand it and have settled on purchasing several modules in your shop. But frankly, if I can't get this going right in WAMP, what's the use?

And, not trying to rub salt into the wound, it seems many people have been having this problem and still it hasn't been addressed completely.

If this is the level of support I will get when I'm up and running, I'm afraid my business ambitions are doomed.

    Someone help? Please?

    Solution already out there...

Mate, if you keep panicking like this, your business ambitions are doomed for sure.

The problems is with WAMP, not Pligg. Uninstall Wamp2.0i and try it with WAMP5 1.7.4

I've been struggling with this all day... installed, re-installed, everything.. couldn't login after installation of 1.0.1

THEN I typed in my URL without the www.... it works!!

Looks like it's some kind of crossdomain issue. Although I still can't figure out how to fix it. I've tried creating the standard crossdomain.xml file and uploading to the root pligg directory, no luck.

    Any other suggestions?
