Urgent: Admin and user cannot login after installation

Hello everybody,
i think Pligg does not works on wampserver 2.0i.
Right now am using wamp 1.7.4. With the version i can login as admin but i cannot create new user.
You can give it a try.

@mrsrose: So it sounds like downgrading your WAMPServer version only *partially* fixed the issue since you still cannot create new users. Is that correct? I have a number of other apps up and running on my current WAMPServer, so I don't want to downgrade and risk breaking other apps if it still doesn't fix this issue with Pligg. Please confirm.

With wamp 1.7.4 i am able to login as admin but can't create user. It is fair enough for me to edit the site.

I was able to fix my installation, seems to be working fine now. The issue was that I was only using a partial URL. Since I was connecting to a host inside my local network, I was just using the host name in the URL, something like: http://myhost/pligg/ This worked fine for other web apps, but seems like Pligg doesn't like this.

I deleted the whole site, then reinstalled everything referencing the full URL during the install process: http://myhost.com/pligg/ It works great now. No more issues with logins, users can self-register and login, all functions seem to be fine. For reference, I'm running WAMPServer 2.0 with Apache 2.2.10, PHP 5.2.7, and MySQL 5.1.30.

It is working great on WAMPServer 2.0 now. There is no need to try 1.7.4. It was really just a URL issue.

i find the sql pligg_users the table can not be based.

I had the same problem with WampServer2.0i. I downgraded server to WampServer2.0h, and Pligg began to work.

It seems to me than this problem is caused by PHP 5.3.0 because I could not start php-Fusion 7.00.05 on WampServer2.0i too. On logs I found error about deprecated function eregi(). Just after that error WampServer chrashes and automatically restarts again in endless cycle.

WampServer2.0h contains earlier version of PHP (5.2.9-2) and it seems that both applications – Pligg and php-Fusion – works on it without errors.
