hey there
how are you doing ? hope fine

on pligg , I see a lot of unnecessary Javascript scripts , I found 2 or 3 Javascript libraries , and as far as I know that is a lot .

the problem in this is that it adds a lot of weight to the pages , hence the load
time of the page becomes longer .And I think that most of the tasks which
are done with Javascripts are not necessarily need to be done in Javascript
and if that is the way , you should look for cleaner scripts . for example what you do in a file with a size of 60 kb , a good javascript programmer could do it
in a file with a size of 5 or only 10 kb .

I know I talk a lot , but I just wanted to make it clear .

We removed a lot of the javascript libraries from the latest SVN version of Pligg because we wanted to make Pligg less of an inconvenience for template designers who might find conflicts if they wanted to run another library. I believe all (or at least most) of the libraries of javascript required to run Pligg will be removed in the next release, reducing the size of pages therefore shortening the page load times. There will still be bits of javascript included for some actions like updating the vote number when a user clicks to vote, but these effects won't depend on a full blown library of code.
