How can I change queued news into published news?

I submit a news, but it is for a long time in queuing status. How can I get it into a published status?

    Please help me.

    Thanks.

If you are an admin you can click on the "admin links" within each story and click on "change the status." This will allow you to change the stories to published. If you don't do it this way the stories won't be published until they reach a number of votes. The vote number is editable from the admin config

I dont see it. My admin panel displays the following:
    - user management
    - category management
    - modify language
    - file and mysql backup
    - configure Pligg 7

When I select "configure Pligg 7" above, all I have is this...
    ---
pligg home » admin panel » Configuration
    nothing found
    ---

why can I not see the options?

do you have a table in your database called config? If not, run install/upgrade.php

    I do have the table.
    but it is empty.

    What should I do?

    SELECT * FROM `config`
MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows).

    running www.yoursite.com/install/upgrade.php should fix that.
