Installation compelete , Register page not working 404 error

I have installed the pligg script here now when I click on register for new users , it gives a 404 error (page not found) , I have been trying to solve this problem for a few days but no luck ,

if anyone of you could help in this regard would be great !!! just so I won't miss anything if you can then do email me or join me on IM at seo dot pro at live dot com

Did you rename htaccess.default to .htaccess ?

just renamed the file, and its working now ... thanks for the help bro !!!
