So it would be absolutely spot on and do a lot to the pligg comunity, if somebody could make a forum mod, or even a hack to integrate a allready working forum (like phpBB3, punBB, BBpress, SMF, MyBB etc.).
What say you?

I'd love to see this. Has anyone been able to integrate another forum application so visitors don't have to log in multiple times?

Well if you are able to donate $250 to us I'm sure we could find someone to integrate Pligg to the forum software of your choice.

I'm willing to contribute as long as there's others interested in donating as well and we can reach some consensus on which forum software to use.

I'm a bigger fan of PHPBB than any other free software. It probably has the widest reach. BBpress doesn't make sense to me since it's already associated with Wordpress (it was created by the same people) and is really intended as an add-on for Wordpress. I used to be a big fan of Vanilla, but it doesn't have much of a user base compared to PHPBB. I've added a PHPBB chipin donation fund to the first post on this thread. It makes sense to only offer one fund at this time so that we dont have people trying decide multiple funds and none of them reaching the required donation number. The Twitter Module for Pligg CMS! The catch is that I'd like to be able to have the pligg and the vbulletin on the same (dedicated) server, but at different domains on the server. |

| I don't think thats possible due to copyrights. PhpBB is GPL.

Looks like people don't want/have no need for this feature. Is it because of phpBB? Is it Paypal?.. This thread is too quiet imho.
