I tried putting google analytics code in many place, also right before the </body> tag, but when I load my website it gives me a blank page.. any ideas what is the problem?

Put the analytics code in your footer.tpl

I have no problem put them like that on header.tpl

its best to put it on your footer, as if google is having problem the rest of your site will load slower or will not load at all
