    Pligg Beta 8 - Discussion Thread

    Just wanted to say great work on the progress of Pligg. From watching it blossom I know you guys are super dedicated to this, and I wanted to say thanks for the good work. Keep it up. I'm installing Beta 8 now, and will give some feedback shortly. (PS, love the new homepage)

    congratulations! this is looking very nice...

    erik, great work! i'm excited to hear that so many folks have contributed and pushed this into a more advanced form for release....sounds like a number of major user issues have been addressed (namely admin and speed issues)....

    now the big thing, i suppose, will be watching to see if folks are there will step up with new templates....

    I'm not sure why trackbacks give you a blank white page. It might have something to do with using URL method 2.

    One thing that I noticed is that simply the install process didn't work if certain folders weren't given permissions higher than 755. That's the only flaw I found in the instructions so far.

    I think I should probably add that to the readme file. Some servers will work fine with 755 but others require 777.

    Is there a changelog of Pligg beta 8.1.0 -> 8.2.0 ?

    Would be nice, because I changed almost every page.

    What I do is go step by step on this page http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/pligg/trunk/?view=log . Beta 8.1.0 was changeset 153 so you need to manually change 154 to 200 which was when 8.2.0 was released.
