I have been testing different providers and just wanted to summarize and share what I have found for Thumbnail Hosting services from a "free" perspective...

Absolute path resolution Vs. only showing the home page of the site:

Websnapr.com - 100,000 free generated per month, then pay for additional
webthumb.bluga.net - 100 free credits per month (100 thumbnails), then pay for additional

Seem to only show the home page of the site: (again, free)

Shrinktheweb.com - 5,000 free generated per month or 161 per day. Max is 250,000 impressions/month... Additional is paid, along with the feature of having absolute path optional. Looks like an addtional cost on top of paid thumbnails.

Thumbshots.com - No cap for thumbnails generated. Images cached for a long time; When running this script, it was presenting me a thumbnail from my site about 3+ years ago. Only small size thumb available. Absolute path available for pay but did not see documentation about additional sizes being available - even with paid account.

Hope this helps!
