How do you apply Pligg CMS to an existing website?

I need to create a website for a Final Major Project in uni. I am creating a website that requires CMS exactly like Pligg. The issue I have is Pligg seems to use templates, is there a way around this so I can use Pligg on my site? Thanks

You want to create your own template instead of the ones provided? You might also want to check out other cms out there (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, google for more)
