How to upload files in pligg?

I'm new to pligg. I don't know how to upload mp3 files in pligg.
(i uploaded images)
If anybody know about this please help me...

You would need to add the .mp3 extension to the allowable file types in the upload module settings. Then you can upload mp3 files.
If you want to be able to play those mp3's right from the site, you would need something like the media master module.

one silly question ...!

will my pligg based site will go down if pligg.com is down for maintenance or for any other reason?
