We are in need of some courageous testers to play around with our latest SVN demo on the new testing ground http://www.pligg.com/demo/. This demo site is running one of the latest SVN builds of Pligg and we need users to jump on the site and start toying around with it so that we can analyze the database stress. The more people we get on the new demo site over the next 24 hours the better. Please note that the latest version of Pligg is still under development and you may experience some unpolished or even incomplete features that we are currently finishing up.
Sometime in the next 2 days the site database will go down for what I estimate to be about 30 minutes, followed by the forum being down for an additional 30 minutes. We will be performing an upgrade during this time and when doing this we need to temporarily suspend the database.

I registered (under davidk), activated my registration but I cannot login. I get "
ERROR - Incorrect Username or Password".

I'll have to test it out tomorrow. We made some modifications to the core to track some database information and I think that messed up at least the submission process, but I see that other users have been able to register so I don't know if that was effected.

I was trying, since I registered yeterday, to login but I always got ther same error. I registered just now under a new account, activated and still cannot login!!

What else can we do?

Redwine: Interesting, I had a similar problem and had to reset the password using the admin panel. I'm not sure whats causing this or if its being caused by me making some alterations to track database calls.

- I really liked the email confirmation. I've had a terrible headache fending off spammers.
- Love the categories, much better on the top
- Related links also very cool

No So Much
- I was hoping that when submitting, a picture selection from the site would be available to choose from.
- No auto recognize and posting of videos
- I do miss the avatars displaying at the top of the page when you are logged in.

Great job guys, this is great leap from 9.95, but there is still room to grow. Keep up the good work

Javin: your first two points could be (and already have been) added in using the module system. Chuck supplies a video embed module through the Pligg Pro shop that recognizes popular video sites being submitted during step one and will then embed the video on the story page automatically. Modules will add in an unlimited number of extra features like this down the road.

Avatars could be added back in if you want to edit the template. Wistie is the name of the new template, but it is designed to be as simple of a look as possible for several reasons. I'm sure that other templates will go a little crazier with their looks, but I wanted to make it so that it would be both simple and load fast.
