Base URL Question

Can anyone tell me why my base url choice is being overidden? I set the site at http://thedailysatire.com in 'location installed' and built links to that, but have noticed that it has overriden my choice and put it on www.thedailysatire.com and will not let me change it, which is ruining the seo work I have done.

It looks like the published link is the only one adding the www. Check settings.php to make sure it has been updated to match your configure settings.
If worse comes to worse you can use the .htaccess file to redirect to the non-www URLs.
