Pligg Beta 9.8.2 upgrade to Pligg CMS 1.0.4
Hi guys, my question would be if you can give me advice what is better way for me to upgrade Pligg Beta 9.8.2. I didn't upgrade Pligg Beta 9.8.2 because it worked just fine but I really like this new version specially because spam protection. I have no idea which way to upgrade is better, directly from 9.8.2 to 1.0.4 or I have to go all the way, each by each, 9.9.0, 9.9.5 , 1.0.0 RC1, 1.0.0 RC2, and so on?
What do you think I should do? Thanks

You can go from any Beta 9.x right to 1.0.4 with no problems, that's the point of the upgrade script. There are specific directions in the readme.html file whenever you download any version of Pligg, so if you follow those steps you shouldn't have any issues upgrading.

Go directly from whatever version you are on to the latest. You should also make backups of all of your files and your mysql database prior to attempting the upgrade in case you need go back at some point. Finally, if you want to continue using your current beta 9.x template you will need to re-write it using Wistie as a starting point. Otherwise it will take a really long time to upgrade it by manually going through the changes.

Thanks for your advice, I was afraid to try direct upgrade and make trouble. Sorry but I have one more question regarding new 1.0.4, when I installed it on local host, not upgrade but install, this / appears in header and in top today, sort news and ... in footer before the year /2010 My site. Do you know about this? Thanks again, I appreciate your help. All those issues in 9.8.2 are history in 1.0.4.

@Yankidank - I modified my db in version 9.9.5 and deleted the pageview table. Too much overhead.

How will this effect an upgrade to 1.0.4?
