The problem with the RSS can be fixed simply by replacing the new rss.php with the one from older versions of Pligg

What about wrong characters in captions, descriptions and categories? I'm using UTF-8. Had someone sold it? I have problem witch czech characters.

I can't choose. Is it just my admin or is this not working yet in RC1?

Also, I really hope for an easy way to delete accounts and ban by IP address (I currently ban IP's at the htaccess level). When I was running v9.9.5 I had 6 pages of spam accounts. Uhg! Spammers are still the biggest problem I have to deal with and I hope after bug squashing this will be a priority. Thanks!

jstablein: Akismet is an unfinished module. We're will also start working on a new IP blacklist module for Pligg, but theres no known date for when that project will be done.

I'm new to pligg but spotted many issues with 1.0.0 RC1 & also a few suggestions that would make this perfect!

I have listed a few below:

• Cant have 2 categories with the same name, e.g. i want Video >> Comedy & Pictures >> Comedy but i can't have comedy twice
• There should be a thumbnail of the video clips like digg does with a play button that expands the video within the site the same as digg
• I want to exclude related content and search bar on video clips, the video's should also not be clickable
• If i have a category then a sub-category, i want the option to not allow posts in the main category and only in the sub-categories, this allows us to keep the site neat and tidy in various subjects
• There is no flag this link icon to send it to a mod, i think a flag this item link is essential
• The site should also spider YouTube for the tags & description so the user doesn't have to type this again just like digg does
• I want to be able to set number of votes before front page per category, i notice you can set this but not per category
• I also have a bug on rss importer which im discussing in the module forum

....as i say, im new to pligg but have many big sites and experienced in wordpress, vbulletin etc, i think these additions would perfect 1.0.0 gold.

Most of this stuff should probably be posted in the Customization Assistance forum. We can't possibly put out a version of pligg that pleases everyone's personal qualifications. This is why we've designed it to be easily customizable.

The installation went smooth, new version looks much better, congrats.
Particular that email confirmation works now, is a great step forward.
The only problem I found, was image upload.
After I created a writable directory "images" in the root, images could be loaded up and showed on the page.
As a disadvantage , I noticed, that uploaded images are of the maximum size, not resampled during upload, no thumbnails were created, the full image size is resampled on the page itself, so even if you have a thumbnail page, the page will load slower, while it needs to download the full size image, which is then on the page itself resized till a thumbnail.

If I'm not mistaken with my conclusion, it would be better to have images in different directories, big, medium and thumb.
