In case you hadn't noticed yet, we have just released a release candidate version of Pligg 1.0 on the forums tonight. The new version is fairly stable, but we are asking for users to download it and give it a try and let us know what they think. We are mostly looking for bugs, so if you find anything please report it to the Pligg Projects page. I'm hoping this thread doesn't turn into the million question thread about Pligg 1.0. The release candidate is out so you can try it out, so get to it and check out the new admin panel.

I'm also to hear what people think of the new design for Pligg.com. We changed our look tonight to celebrate the release.

1.0.0 RC1 is equal to SVN revision 354. If your SVN version is more than a few days old I would suggest upgrading.

diwakarmorthy: is your site a default install? I've had issues with RSS importer breaking a while ago, but I believe it was because I removed javascript or something like that. From a default install it works fine for me.

Many: something looks terribly wrong with your site. You either really messed up the CSS or your files weren't uploaded correctly.
I can confirm that RSS links aren't generating feeds, I'll put this on the list.
RSS Importer is included as a module with this release.
I'm not sure what you mean by some of the other bugs.
We have a freelancer working on a new image upload module that will be packaged with the 1.0 final version.

Jaf7: We dropped yget support about a month ago. It was holding us back and I'm personally sick of it. Anyone else is welcome to assist us in upgrading it to work with the latest version.
I also suggest that you wait until the 1.0 final version if you are upgrading, just to save yourself time so you don't need to upgrade twice.

Nitpicky things, but thought I'd mention them.

1. How Pligg's Different in admin popup - might read better if it said How is Pligg Different? or How Pligg is Different? or How is Pligg Different from other Content Management Systems?

2. XML sitemaps module - yahoo siteexplorer key - says alfanumaric - change to alphanumeric.

I played around with the static Pages feature. I like what you've done there, but it would be nice to see the page you created show up on your pligg site somewhere! I edited header.tpl to see if my test page would show up in the navigation bar and I got that working just fine after a few tries. I'm thinking that if there were an automated process to place the page link it might help out novice users.

teachwny, I agree with the page feature on many levels, we may improve on it at a later time. I don't think it should automatically place a link in the same spot every time because every template will be different and every user will want the link in a different spot. I will look into a solution to make it easier to add the link though. I suggest that you use the Snippet module to place links like this though. It might take a little getting used to, but Snippet lets you make simple additions to your template without having to edit any tpl files. This would make upgrading yoru template easier down the road since there are no tpl edits.

I also made the 2 suggested grammar/spelling fixes. Going to repackage them with a couple other fixes later today.
