Has anyone successfully upgrade from 9.9.5 to 1.0 RC1? I tried but after the upgrade, pligg didn't show any news story from the database, and so the index.php was showing template wistie but had empty frontpage.

The admin backend was perfectly installed though.

During the upgrade process where you upgrade the database part, it didn't show any error, so I suspected that the database went OK. The question is how come the install went awry if the database went OK, and as far I know I followed exactly the upgrade instruction from readme.html.

When I saw the index.php page was empty but with wistie installed and shown correctly, but I know the database had bunch of published and queue stories waited to be shown, I made an educated guess that maybe something was corrupted, but maybe the submit.php will work, so I gave it a try. It turned out after step two where you hit submit, a blank page came up -- I had no idea that the story had submitted or not. But when I took a look into the errors in the server I saw this:

*****PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_object(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/pligg/public_html/news/libs/html1.php on line 261, referer: Greensocialtech / Login.
*****PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/pligg/public_html/news/libs/html1.php on line 250, referer: Greensocialtech / Login

and many more...

I also saw many other errors.

I also saw that in admin panel the version was showing as 9.9.5 but not the 1.0RC1.

Though wistie and all other elements seemed to be 1.0RC1 (hint: new admin panel).

Maybe Pligg 1 RC1 needs a lot more fixes to help soothe the process of upgrading from 9.9.5 to 1.0.

Developers please help ease this process more, as 9.9.5 or older version users may have a lot of members to transfer.

Maybe manual upgrade is easier? How to do that?

I had already reverted the upgrade back to the original version which is 9.9.5, and so if you are going to visit my website now, you won't see the errors!

Thanks for reading my boring message!
