Wasnt sure where to post this...
So what the possibility of Plig and Drupal integration? Be nice if you could share database info between the two. (user info, user name and password, and auto sign on)

Currently this hasn't been developed. Partially because Drupal offers a plugin that offers a feature similar to Pligg. If we get enough support we may put some resources into having it developed after 1.0 final is out.

From what I understand that plugin is now in limbo, and from what I can tell is dead in the water.

Thank you for the reply

Yeah Drigg's (the Drupal Digg plugin) author has decided to quit developing for Drupal recently. He was the main contributor to that project, but he intends to hand over control to someone who is capable of taking his place. I'm not sure if they ever will find someone who can take over his role, but good luck to whomever picks it up. I think if they end up not continuing developing that project over the next few months we may look into an integration module.

drigg is pretty much dead and there has been nothing happening for about a year now. If pligg was to integrate with drupal, it would be realy cool. There probably a lot of drupal users who would like to use pligg with their drupal sites.

well,

I just did a test for Drigg to compare it with Pligg using the Development release from 2009-Jun-23 - (almost 7 months old) using Drupal 6. To put it briefly, it's just not happening - lots of problems and seems to be light years away from a stable release.

Drigg is not moving forward. There is currently no planned release for Drupal 7, and no further action being done for Drupal 6. I have a site that has been running it on 6 with over 160,000 active nodes and over 500 users. It recently got some weird corruption and, although I got a sort of work around going, I am looking to migrate off to Pligg. I've tried to duplicate the functionality using off the shelf plugins for drupal, but it is not happening...

There are two issues with this migration that I am still trying to get answers to:
1. data migration from drupal/drigg to pligg
2. scalability - which drupal does very well

Pligg modules are commercial in nature, so to get the functionality that I was using in the past is probably going to cost a few hundred. Not a super big deal if I can get everything imported and get a revenue stream established...

Integrating Pligg into drupal 7 as a module would be an interesting concept, but I don't see it...
