I've just released the second release candidate (RC) version of Pligg 1.0.0. The new version fixes a lot of bugs reported for RC1, so keep helping us by reporting bugs and posting solutions to problems.

There are a couple new modules included with this release, but the one that I think needs special mention is the new (and very beta) upload module. The module doubles as a file attachment and an image attachment plugin. Currently the module isn't the easiest to pick up and start using unless you just want to insert thumbnails into your posts automatically, but we are working on a way to easily insert images into Pligg articles using this new module. More details about this module will be provided when we've finished it, but it might be a fun new tool for some Pligg users to try out with RC2.

How about some vbulletin, or IPB integration?

Is there any forumula mods for this version? Also, i don't really understand the formula and yes i read past threads about this... If a 'upcoming post A' goes popular and then 'upcoming post B' goes popular 5 minutes later, then 'upcoming post a' starts getting more and more votes, can it ever go ahead of 'upcoming post B' on the main page for most recent popular?

Hi,
ja und auch hier haben wir wieder mal das UTF-8 Problem. Umlaute wie ä,ö,ü werden wieder nicht übernommen. Hat jemand bereits eine Lösung diesbezüglich gefunden?

Liebe Grüße
Marco

infobombs: Once a story goes published to the front page it is assigned a timestamp. So if story A gets published, then story B gets published they will always appear B then A on the homepage unless you change the default sorting order or the user clicks on a button to sort the items.

onur: Templates haven't been developed yet because Pligg is still making changes to how the templates work. Once 1.0 final gets out you will start to see some more choices. I will personally be developing some free and sold templates as soon as 1.0 final is out.

marco030: We will continue to work on the UTF problem to support other languages. You can expect and update to address this issue with RC3.

Yakidank - thanks, any plans to make the formula more complicated in the final cut? possibly include factors like time stamp, votes, clicks, comment, buries, etc? Keep up the good work, it has come a long way!
